Tell Donnie what you do. The rules engine rolls the dice and tracks hit points and turns, and Donnie narrates what happened.
Play the book you never got to play
Most adventures get bought, read and shelved, because someone has to run them. TableTales hands that job to Donnie, so the person who owns the book gets to sit on the player side of the screen.
Donnie narrates and plays the people you meet. The rules engine owns the mechanics: dice, hit points, conditions and turn order go through it, and Donnie narrates from what it decided.

Which game systems can it run?
D&D 5e adventures import best. You can pick Pathfinder 2e for the campaign, but the importer reads monsters as D&D 5e stat blocks today.
How long can my PDF be?
The free Wanderer plan takes 1 adventure PDF of up to 64 pages. Adventurer takes up to 100 pages, Champion takes up to 300 pages, Legend takes up to 500 pages per upload.
Will every PDF import perfectly?
Import results depend on your PDF and may need review. If you have no PDF at hand, start with a ready-made encounter instead.
Can I play it with friends?
Yes. Play solo, or invite friends to a shared campaign. If you usually run the game, you can stay in the DM seat and playtest your encounters with bot players first (bot players start with the Adventurer plan).
Do I need to know the rules?
No. You can learn as you play, and the rules engine keeps track of the numbers.
