TableTalesAi ("TableTales," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered virtual tabletop platform, including our website, application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials (managed securely through our authentication provider, Clerk).

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, session duration, and actions taken within campaigns.

Campaign and Game Content

Content you create through the Service - including campaign settings, character data, chat messages, and game actions - is stored to provide and improve the Service.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by our third-party payment provider. We do not store your full credit card number or banking details on our servers.

TableTales uses third-party AI models (including Anthropic's Claude) to generate narrative content, manage game mechanics, and create character assets. Your game inputs (chat messages, actions, campaign context) are sent to these AI providers to generate responses.

Images are generated by OpenAI, Black Forest Labs and fal.ai. The text prompt for each image is sent to the provider that renders it. If you upload a portrait or campaign art, that image may be sent to these image providers as reference art so that new scenes match your characters. Uploads are re-encoded on our servers, which removes embedded metadata such as camera and location tags, before they are stored. Scene, battle-map and room art we generate carries a machine-readable marker that it is AI-generated.

We do not use your campaign content to train AI models. Your game data is processed solely to provide you with real-time game experiences.

Voice

If you use live voice, your browser streams microphone audio to our server only while a voice session is open, and we forward it to Deepgram, our speech-to-text provider, to turn it into text. We ask Deepgram not to use that audio to improve its models. The Game Master's spoken replies are generated by Cartesia from the narration text we send it.

We do not store your microphone audio. We keep the text of what you said as a chat message in your campaign, like anything you type, and a record of voice usage (time and cost) for billing limits. Deleting your campaign deletes its transcript. You can stop voice at any time with the microphone button, and voice is never required to play.

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: We share data with third-party providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, authentication, AI inference, payment processing).
• Campaign Members: Game content (character names, chat messages, actions) is shared with other members of your campaign.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Campaign data is retained for the duration of the campaign's existence. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. When you delete your account, your profile photo, the portraits of your characters and the cover art of campaigns you own are deleted from our storage. When you delete a campaign or replace an upload, the stored image is deleted unless another campaign still uses it.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
• Export your data in a portable format

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics data is collected in aggregate to improve the Service.

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
