Run a published adventure with an AI Dungeon Master
Upload the PDF of a published adventure you own, and Donnie runs it as your Dungeon Master while you play, alone or with friends.
Free includes 1 adventure PDF upload up to 64 pages. No credit card required.
Will your book fit?
Check the page count first. A one-shot or short adventure of up to 64 pages fits the free plan. A full hardcover campaign runs to a couple of hundred pages or more, so it will not fit in the free plan's 64 pages.
| Plan | Pages per PDF | Uploads a month | Price per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wanderer | 64 pages | 1 | Free |
| Adventurer | 100 pages | 2 | $14.99 |
| Champion | 300 pages | 10 | $29.99 |
| Legend | 500 pages | No limit | $59.99 |
If your PDF has more pages than your plan allows, nothing is uploaded, and you see its page count next to your plan's limit. You cannot pick a page range or a single chapter yet, so the whole file counts. Legend reads the first 500 pages of a longer book.
What the import takes from the book
The import goes through the book chapter by chapter and picks out the people, places and encounters in each one. It also keeps the monsters with their stat blocks, the magic items and spells, and how the rooms on each dungeon map connect.
Read-aloud text comes along when the PDF's text can be read. The battle maps you play on are usually drawn fresh from those rooms, so they can look different from the printed map.
Import results depend on your PDF and may need review. A PDF with selectable text works best, and a scanned book goes through a fallback reader that can come out with less detail. The importer reads monsters as D&D 5e stat blocks, so D&D 5e adventures import best.
Your book stays in your campaign
Upload only adventures you bought. The people, places and monsters the import finds stay in your campaign, where you and the friends you invite can play them, and TableTales does not share or redistribute them.
Questions about published adventures
Can I play it with friends?
Yes. Invite friends to the campaign and play the adventure together, with Donnie as the Dungeon Master.
Can I fix something the import got wrong?
Not by editing it yet. You can import the PDF again, which uses one of your uploads, and imported maps that need a look are marked in the campaign settings.
What about Pathfinder 2e adventures?
You can upload one and pick Pathfinder 2e for the campaign, but the importer reads monsters as D&D 5e stat blocks today, so their numbers will not match the book.
